Spring Cottage

Spring Cottage in Bloxwich, West Midlands, England, dates back to the early 19th century. Originally constructed as a farmhouse, the property has a long history of reported paranormal activity. One of the most frequently encountered spirits is that of a young girl, believed to be around 8-10 years old, who has been seen wandering the corridors and peering out of windows. Witnesses have described her as wearing a white nightgown and having long, dark hair.

Another prominent ghostly figure is that of an elderly man, often spotted in the kitchen area. He is said to appear suddenly and vanish just as quickly, leaving witnesses startled. Some have reported feeling a sudden drop in temperature when he is present.

The cottage’s attic has been a hotspot for supernatural occurrences, with many reporting the sound of footsteps and furniture being moved when the space is empty. Some visitors have claimed to hear whispers and children’s laughter emanating from this area.

In the 1960s, a family living in the cottage reported objects moving on their own, particularly in the living room. They described ornaments falling from shelves and pictures being removed from walls without explanation.

During renovation work in the 1980s, workers uncovered a hidden room behind a wall in the basement. Subsequently, there were increased reports of a shadowy figure seen darting between rooms on the ground floor.

The garden of Spring Cottage has also been the site of paranormal activity, with multiple accounts of a misty apparition seen floating near an old well. Some have theorized this could be connected to a local legend of a woman who drowned there in the 19th century.
